Renn Cheah

Renn Cheah is a Clinical Psychologist who works with individuals across the lifespan from age 8+. He takes on a client-centred approach and tailors his interventions to suit the needs of his clients. Renn believes in addressing the common maintaining factors across several disorders instead of just focusing on symptoms of a specific disorder. He works collaboratively with his clients using a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy, and drawing on frameworks from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He had the opportunity to work within the context of child protection and with child sex offenders during his training and had since worked in private practice. He is also currently completing his postgraduate studies in sexology. Renn is multilingual and can conduct therapy sessions in Malay, Cantonese or Mandarin, if required.
